I’ve always believed that a beautiful cake is so much more than dessert—it’s a centerpiece, a work of art, and part of the memories that last long after the celebration ends. Long before I became a baker, every special occasion in my life included an exceptional cake because I truly appreciated the artistry behind it.
After moving to Charlotte, I was given the opportunity to work alongside a talented cake artist. Although that experience was brief, it sparked something in me and inspired me to start Summerwood Sweets.
I truly believe God opened that door for a reason. What began as a new opportunity quickly became a passion and a calling.
My favorite part of every cake is bringing each couple’s vision to life through timeless design, handcrafted details, and beautiful sugar flowers. I love creating cakes that are not only delicious but also become a meaningful part of a couple’s celebration.
Today, I feel incredibly blessed to create wedding cakes and desserts that become part of life’s most cherished moments. Every cake is handcrafted with love, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to create something as beautiful as the memories it represents.

DELICIOUS AND FRESH
Summerwood Sweets knocked it out of the park for our wedding. We chose a dessert bar over a traditional big wedding cake and every item was DELICIOUS and FRESH. I certainly patted myself on the back for choosing Rose to bake our desserts; the cupcakes tasted so fresh, the cake was not dry or spongey, and the frostings and all other desserts were perfectly sweet. Nothing was overboard or overbearing. The items were designed BEAUTIFULLY, I am still stunned by how wonderful everything looked and even happier with how everything tasted. I highly, highly recommend Summerwood Sweets!

ROSE IS SO TALENTED AND AMAZING TO WORK WITH!
We used Summerwood Sweets for our March wedding at the recommendation of our venue, Alexander Homestead, and are so glad we did! Rose is so talented and amazing to work with! My husband is allergic to gluten so we opted for a Macron tower as the main event and then added some cake truffles and cupcakes as well. I live in Arizona so I wasn't able to do any tastings but oh man were they so delicious and gorgeous. The presentation is great and Rose has a couple different pricing options based on how intricate or simple you want to be. I'm still dreaming about how yummy everything was!
